If staying hydrated is difficult for you, here are some tips that can help:

  • Keep a bottle of water with you during the day. To reduce your costs, carry a reusable water bottle and fill it with tap water.
  • If you don’t like the taste of plain water, try adding a slice of lemon or lime to your drink.
  • Drink water before, during, and after a workout.
  • When you’re feeling hungry, drink water. Thirst is often confused with hunger. True hunger will not be satisfied by drinking water. Drinking water may also contribute to a healthy weight-loss plan. Some research suggests that drinking water can help you feel full.
  • If you have trouble remembering to drink water, drink on a schedule. For example, drink water when you wake up, at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and when you go to bed. Or, drink a small glass of water at the beginning of each hour.
  • Drink water when you go to a restaurant. It will keep you hydrated, and it’s free.

Drinking 2 litres of water a day is a no problem at all for some people, but for others, it can be a difficult task. If you are one of the 3 out of 4 who aren’t drinking enough water, that’s no problem at all. We have some ideas to help you kickstart your rehydraton journey:

Carry your SHEGGS Time Marker Water bottle ALWAYS!

It’s easy to remember to drink when there’s a  bottle of water nearby. Upgrade to our water bottle to have a 1litre bottle with time indicators to physically track your intake.

Show yourself some love

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Congratulate yourself every time you are able to drink from your bottle. It may take time to be able to drink the recommended 2 litres a day, but starting small and improving gradually is better than nothing at all. Trust us, you are doing good!

Put your bottle at an easy to see place

The whole idea is to be able to be reminded to drink frequently throughout the day. Having a busy job or looking after children can sometimes make you forget that you need to drink water. When your bottle can be easily seen, then this visual reminder will help you to keep track and achieve your goal. The best part is, our bottles are clear to help you see how much water is left to drink.

Eat foods that have high water content

Did you know that we can increase our hydration levels by eating foods that have a high water content? This includes fruits and veggies like cucumber, watermelon, lettuce, spinach, tomatoes and the list goes on.

Flavour your water

Most of my colleagues at work said water was boring! It might be same for you too! Why not spice things up a little by adding thin chops of your favourite fruits or veggies to create help?
